We were founded through an alliance created with surgeons, academia and advanced materials manufacturers to create leading-edge solutions for patients with spinal disorders. Our research and product development is driven by the needs of our surgeon partners. Through this unique collaboration, we are able to help the world’s leading surgeons create and refine new instrumentations and techniques by leveraging one of the largest rapid-prototyping facilities in a university setting, along with exclusive access to leading medical device manufacturing processes.
Our objective is two-fold. For medical professionals, we are focused on developing and refining spinal hardware products and pioneering biologic technologies that are easy to implement in a surgical environment and enhance the effectiveness of surgical procedures. For individuals with spinal disorders, we are dedicated to designing innovative products that restore structural integrity, decrease recovery time, and result in an improved quality of life.
Our R&D resources allow us to test leading edge materials and manufacturing processes with new materials and new processes such as tissue regeneration and bone growth. We work closely with orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons, and also observe surgeries to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures. We listen to the concerns of spinal patients, learn about their pain and recoveries, and provide education on recovery and prevention. And finally, we stay connected to the medical community at large to stay abreast of advances in other areas of medicine that may benefit our customers.
